Fanta Se Studio Update: Sept. 19, 2006

Nope, it's not a typo.  We've come to know this place as Fanta Se, because the scenery, weather, and atmosphere out here is so wonderful.  We've been here since September 9, and I am pleased to report that it was a smooth, uneventful ride out this time.  We held our breath as we passed the Wewoka, OK exit, but ol' Dualie just purred like a kitten!  As I am writing this, Cameron is adding backing vocals to a song that we've never played live. It was written for this album, and we've been holding off on playing it until the album is released.  I can't wait for y'all to hear it.

We enjoyed having our friends Justin Brogdon, Kris Kolp, and Randolph Turner out here this past weekend.  They got to see us lay down some tracks, and Kris added some harmonica as well.  Also, be sure to listen for their voices (and mine, believe it or not!) in some group background vocals on one of the songs.

Upcoming this week is our photo shoot for the album.  We've been exercising every day - yep, ALL of us have been getting up and running the hills around here, trying to trim up for the shot.  If you've ever tried to run at 9,000 + feet, it ain't easy my friends. Y'all might not recognize us when we get back home.  No double chins for this photo shoot!

That's it for now.  I'll check back with y'all later.
